While we continue to wait for instruction on re-opening we continue to plan and prepare so that we are ready to go.
We anticipate there will be changes – some temporary, some permanent but we want to take tall measures necessary to ensure your safety.
We’ll put out a video closer to re-opening to showcase the changes you can expect but in the mean time we’d love it if you take this short 5 question survey to let us know what is important to you when you come back. It will take no more than 2 minutes to complete.
While we are still finalising our processes and systems, What you can expect to see is;
- All the social distancing protocols practised
- Staff presence cleaning equipment and enforcing code of conduct at all times
- Member commitments to following tougher new guidelines around health and hygiene
- Staff training in COVID 19 response
- A range of new protocols to suit the “New Norm”
- New flooring, a fresh coat a paint and a big new piece of equipment in the lower gym floor
- Tonnes of smiles and friendly faces
Ok, those last two aren’t directly related to the new standard in cleaning and hygiene practices but like many of you, we are super keen to get back into Castle Hill Fitness and Aquatic Centre.
Stay safe and well and thank you for assisting with our short survey.

Dear valued members and visitors,
We hope you and your families are all safe and well, and have been able to navigate your way through some very challenging times.
As you would be aware, today the National Cabinet released a number of changes to the regulations and restrictions that have limited business operations and social interactions over the last two months. These changes provide us with optimism and excitement for our eventual re-opening, albeit with a number of new initiatives in place to protect our members and visitors.
As we begin to process today’s news and look towards re-opening, we need to do it responsibly. As such, our focus is on meeting and exceeding Government requirements and our moral responsibility, in addition to reassuring you that we are a safe and responsible venue to visit.
While we wait for an update from the Premier, our team is carefully reviewing today’s news, and what it means for each part of our operations. We appreciate that limitations must be in place and we have been working behind the scenes to prepare our facilities, programs and processes in anticipation of today’s news. We are prepared and our priority is to re-open safely and responsibly.
We’re all in this together and we look forward to sharing more information next week about phase one of our re-opening and what that means for members and visitors.
The Team at CHFAC

After the update by the Federal Government yesterday in relation to capacities for rooms and gatherings we have signed all rooms in our facility and will be monitoring numbers constantly to ensure compliance.
As a result we have modified the class capacity for all our group exercise classes. These capacity numbers are below the maximum numbers allowed in each room, to ensure all members feel safe while getting their exercise.
Class maximums are as follows;
Aqua Aerobics: 15
Group Ex Studio 40
Mind and Body: 30
Spin Room: 10
Functional Zone: 20
Given some members are opting to stay home at the moment most classes will not reach capacity.
A new timetable will be released on March 30.
Due to the capacity limits please be aware our STEAM ROOM is also now closed.
Thank you for your ongoing support and please continue to apply additional hygiene practices in line with our conditions of entry and Government recommendations.
18 March 2020
We are confirming we are still open as usual this week and all scheduled class will go ahead at this stage.
As we unpack the new rules brought in by the Federal Government and await any further detail from the State Government,we will continue to work on how we can modify our programs and offering and ensure we continue to provide the wide range of facilities and programs we have always done. Please keep checking into our Facebook page and website for further details. Thank you

To all our valued members – You would have hopefully received correspondence from Management recently in relation to what we are doing in club to manage the safety of our members and guests during this COVID-19 pandemic.
While this is a very fluid situation we will continue to provide updates to our members through our website and Facebook. To further update you on any changes to operations at the Centre.
As of today – 16 March 2020
- All gymnastics classes are on as scheduled
- Swim programs are currently running. The only program which has been suspended is the Sea Turtles program.
- The Fitness Centre remains open with all facilities and classes operating.
Some changes to our operations that you will notice at the Facility;
- An increase in cleaning schedules and an increase in hand sanitiser and wipes throughout the centre.
- All Fitness members must show reception staff they have a towel before entering the club
- We will be reducing the capacities of some group fitness classes
- Staff policies are in place to prevent any staff attending work with symptoms of a cold or flu.
Further plans are in place should further operational restrictions come into effect and we will activate these as circumstances dictate.
